What are the nights of Play?
Practices have historically been on Sunday afternoon or evening. Typically there is two league games a week, one home game (in the past they have been either Monday, Wednesday or Friday) and an away game.
When does the season start and end?
The game play starts in the first week in May, practices may begin in later April depending on the condition of the fields. The exception to this would be if you decide to play “A” Ball, in that case playing would continue until the 3rdweek of July.
What is the dress code?
Grey baseball pants with red Belt, t-shirt or Jersey, with ball cap. T-Shirt and Ball cap are included in your registration fee. A jersey is also provided but will need to be returned at the end of the season.
How far do we have to travel for games?
The other teams that make up the Cub league: 3 or 4 Beaumont Teams, Bawlf, Wetaskiwin, Camrose, Drayton Valley, Leduc, Round Hill, Thorsby and Wetaskiwin. So it is possibly that you will have to attend some or all of these locations for league play.
What options does my Daughter have in relation to playing baseball?
Beaumont Minor Ball plans to offer an all girls team at the 11U and 13U levels depending on the number of registrations, or they can also play on a Co-ed team.
What is the difference between house ball and “A” Ball?
“A” Ball is played in the YEGA league, which in pervious years has been made up of teams from the Edmonton and Surrounding Area. The season for “A” Ball continues to the 3rd week of July. The league is considered to be a competitive league. The 'A' team will usually attend provincials as well, but it is not required.
