Do you have T-Ball?
Traditional T-ball doesn’t exist within BMBA. For the younger kids (6 & 7 yrs) we run our Rally Cap program. This mainly consists of skill development in a fun atmosphere as opposed to playing actual games.
Can I request that my child play on the same team as another child?
BMBA will not honor requests to play with others, with the exception of siblings.
My kid is very skilled and quite mature for his/her age, can I register them in a higher level?
No. At least initially, please register in the age appropriate level. You may make a request with the director of division you wish to play in. If there is room once registration closes and skills have been evaluated, you MAY be able to switch to a different level. If you register in the wrong level you be removed and put on a waitlist until registration is complete. See our underage policy here http://www.beaumontminorball.com/content/underage-policy
Why is Waitlist my only option in my requested division?
The Division you are trying to register for is full. You will be contacted in the event a spot is available. Please ensure you do complete the registration forms for the Waitlist as we use the date/time stamp to determine priority.
What does the “level-up” fee go towards?
This fee helps pay for the extra costs associated with Competitive baseball including longer season, umpire fees and Baseball Alberta Fees
Is there an option to pay in instalments?
Yes. You have the option to pay for registration fees in 3 instalments. This year there will be no fees associated with your initial registration.
Is there any financial aid available?
We do not offer any financial aid, but we do accept payment via Kidsport or Jumpstart. Visit their websites to see if you qualify and how to apply.
I have indicated that I am willing to coach/manage. How do I know if I’ve been selected?
All division directors will have list of willing volunteers and will contact you prior to the season beginning. Please note a valid Criminal Record check is required to coach.
My child wants to tryout for a tier that Beaumont does not offer; how do I register with another association, is there anything I have to do beforehand?
If trying out for a competitive level that Beaumont does not offer (ie:AAA), please register (free of charge) on our website first, then register with the other association. Select the appropriate Division, and choose Tryout/Release Registration. This will allow us to release player if successful at tryouts and will also hold a spot for player within our association.
My child is going to be playing another spring/summer activity in addition to baseball. Can he/she still be considered for a team?
Absolutely, but please make your availability known at the start of the season so we can ensure we have enough players on each team.
Female Program
Can I register my daughter in baseball?
Definitely! BMBA welcomes girls at all levels. BMBA also gives girls the choice of playing on an all-girls team or on a co-ed team. Our all-girls teams at the age levels 9U, 12U and 14U play in BAGL. Depending on the number of registrations, an all girls team at the Rally Cap age category may be offered. Rally Cap does not play in BAGL For more info contact Tracy at femaledirector@bmbabaseball.com
