Arm Care

Attention BMBA Parents and Players.

Arm Care is vital for all players.  Coming out of winter and preparing for ball season this spring should involve some level of arm care program.

Throwing a baseball continuously throughout the season puts a great deal of stress on your arm, shoulder, and rotator cuff.  Starting an arm care program now will go a long way in preparing your arm for the upcoming season and seasons beyond.

Make yourself familiar with the program found here so you can begin to see what things can be entailed in an Arm Care program.

Of course, this program in its entirety will not be appropriate for all ages but something can be taken out of it for all age groups.

VERY IMPORTANT: Do not treat this as a muscle building program, it is a conditioning program only.  There is no heavy weight used at all.  If at any time you begin to experience arm soreness discontinue immediately.  Rest should be a regular part of the program.

At the very least, becoming more knowledgeable about the benefits of a throwing program in the offseason and adding some form of it into your schedule will be of great benefit to you.

See you all out on the diamond SOON!!
